When Django meets Tango…
Virtuoso composer and guitarist Gonzalo Bergara has forged his own style of Gypsy Jazz over the last 10 years, blending the sounds of Parisian swing and his native Argentina.
In this show, he joins forces with some of the UK’s most accomplished musicians, merging the music of Django Reinhardt and Tango maestro Astor Piazzolla – musical icons of different styles, but with a similar approach to melody and musicality. Two cultures, two different ways of expressing music, four incredible musicians – this show will take your breath away.
“The best thing that’s happened to Gypsy Jazz in the last 20 years” Django Reinhardt Festival, Samois
