A two day workshop, working alongside artist Jake Attree, exploring the River Ancholme in Brigg through drawing and painting.
Day 1 will begin with making sketchbook drawings along the riverbank with the intention of finding a suitable subject for painting, developing these ideas into a more resolved and larger drawing. Jake will bring sketchbooks and larger drawings to show how he approaches this concept, as well as giving a demonstration.
On Day 2 you will begin painting in oils or watercolour all day, either from drawings in the studio or on site (depending on participants’ preferences and the weather!). Jake will be on hand to offer advice, direction and encouragement, concluding the day with a plenary session and a sense of fulfilment.
