We would like to share some exciting news regarding the re-launch of shares for The New Clarence, Hull’s first community owned and run pub. We are thrilled to invite you to participate in this unique opportunity to invest and get involved in our community-focused establishment.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are hosting a gathering on March 1st at the Polar Bear in Hull from 7PM to 10PM (entry free). The evening will feature performances by Hull’s amazing entertainer, Daz, renowned for his work with Daz’s Rock 4 Charity. It promises to be a lively event filled with great company, a selection of beers, and plenty of dancing!
We would love to see as many people there as possible, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities while learning more about our initiative and how you can get involved or just celebrate with us and share our vision.

After facing a devastating closure during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic under the ownership of a national company, the previous management of the Polar Bear worked to resurrect the venue as swiftly as possible. With an overwhelming outpour of support from the resilient community of Hull, ‘Polar Bear Music Club’ made a triumphant return in 2021, this time as a Community Interest Company (CIC).
In collaboration with their friends from ‘The Sesh,’ Polar Bear is dedicated to offering free entry nights every Tuesday, featuring a diverse line-up of local, national, and international musicians. Additionally, the venue hosts weekly free entry club nights, along with ticketed gigs and live performances, catering to a wide range of musical tastes and preferences for the people of Hull.
