Join The Friends of Burton Constable for a special Christmas Festive Evening!
Enjoy a delightful night featuring Chris Cade, a York-based actor and storyteller with extensive experience delivering educational theatre for museums, schools, and community groups across Yorkshire and beyond. Chris will bring the story of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life in a humorous and inventive performance, complete with low key audience participation.
Guests will also have the chance to tour the Hall, beautifully decorated, followed by a hot supper. A pay bar will be available from 7pm.

The Friends of Burton Constable organise a number of events throughout the year to raise money to support the preservation of Burton Constable Hall for the long-term benefit of the public. Funds generated by the Friends are invested in the conservation of the Hall and parkland, helping sustain and preserve them for future generations.

Step inside the Elizabethan gem and explore 30 grand rooms filled with fine art, exquisite furniture and decorative treasures, including the remarkable Cabinet of Curiosities. For a deeper dive into history, join a behind-the-scenes tour of the servants' quarter, where you’ll uncover the life of those who once worked here. Stroll through the stunning parkland designed by 'Capability' Brown, with its tranquil woodland trails and serene lakeside walks. Don't miss the historic stables, which includes Billy the stable boy’s bedroom and the astonishing 60-foot skeleton of a sperm whale, a fascinating link to Moby-Dick!
