‘Acid Dub Studies’ is the fully-fledged result of the merging of the calligraphic expression of the 303 Acid bassline with the stern sway of Dub Reggae and the hazier edges of Dub Techno and Ambient music. Om Unit brings the fusion works to the live stage with a new updated show.

She is the first Black Turntablist to win an Oram Award in 2020 and regularly pushes boundaries on what the turntables are capable of with her captivating live show
Bombed Buidings aka Stewart Baxter is a composer, producer, and visual artist based in Hull. The live show focuses on found sound, tape loops and experimental audio that is firmly rooted in his sense of place
Ryan Smith (of BDRRM) and Polyecho (aka Simma) will be DJ’ing inbetween the live acts and late into the night for the aftershow party

After facing a devastating closure during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic under the ownership of a national company, the previous management of the Polar Bear worked to resurrect the venue as swiftly as possible. With an overwhelming outpour of support from the resilient community of Hull, ‘Polar Bear Music Club’ made a triumphant return in 2021, this time as a Community Interest Company (CIC). In collaboration with their friends from ‘The Sesh,’ Polar Bear is dedicated to offering free entry nights every Tuesday, featuring a diverse line-up of local, national, and international musicians. Additionally, the venue hosts weekly free entry club nights, along with ticketed gigs and live performances, catering to a wide range of musical tastes and preferences for the people of Hull.
