How did we start the story? With a flotilla of paper boats.
On 2 January, as part of Made in Hull, a colourful flotilla of 1,000 paper boats made by the city’s youngest residents set sail on the waters next to Princes Quay Shopping Centre.
The river, sea and oceans have had an enormous impact on Hull. With the help of Hull’s schools, a small flotilla of paper boats set sail as part of our opening celebrations, a beautiful sight on the water, they began to tell our story…
