Oakfield School prides itself on inspiring and nurturing pupils with additional emotional, social and behavioural needs.
Taking on a large plot in the nearby Portobello allotment, students worked with designers Matt + Fiona to create an outdoor learning environment, creating a space where they could develop, learn and grow – skills which can’t always be met in a more formal environment.
Students saw how design, innovation and creativity can be brought together to realise a dream – an outdoor environment designed and built by them.
