The Hull Corporation Pier was built in 1825 to provide a terminus for the Humber ferry, which ran between Hull and New Holland until the opening of the Humber Bridge in 1981. Following extensive flood defence work, the Pier is once again open to the public who are now able to enjoy improved walkways and seating.
