For 160 years Sight Support (formerly the Hull & East Riding Institute for the Blind) has been helping people in Hull & East Yorkshire with visual impairments to live full and independent lives. Our charity currently supports 2,400 people of all ages with a variety of services. Every day over 250 people start to lose their sight in the UK and 9% of us will become blind or partially sighted by the time we reach the age of 60.
To celebrate our 160 years, we are delighted to host ‘Take Me to the Movies’, a concert of film music through the decades with performances from the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra and local X Factor contestant Samantha Atkinson in the wonderful surroundings of Hull Minster.
We would be delighted if you could join us at the ‘Take Me to the Movies’ concert. You can purchase tickets online via Eventbrite.
Sight Support receives no government funding and relies entirely upon donations to continue its vital work.
