Wolds Workshop is pleased to offer a 2- day practical course which aims to introduce you to the process of letter cutting in stone, taught by professional mason, carver and letter-cutter, Matthias Garn.
This class will guide students through the practical techniques letter-cutting in stone. As the student is taught the fundamentals of letter design, they will spend time drawing and then tracing their lettering onto the stone, ready for carving.
On the second day, students will cut the letters with the option to paint them when time allows.
The course is suitable for all ability levels.
