An Entertaining Extravaganza of Fun-Filled Festive Theatre is brought to you by the cast of Charles Dickens’ travelling company as they arrive in Beverley to brighten the December days and nights.
This Cornucopia of Delights includes much loved episodes from Mr Dickens’ hand, and other assorted Victoriana, and will be directed by the Esteemed ‘Sir’ Richard Avery.
Led by ‘Sir’ Clive Kneller, the Naughty Knight, the artistes include Baroness Alice Gold, The Maker of Melody; Lady Guttridge, Mistress of Mirth; Dame Hannah Levy of Lower Ludlow, Lover of Laughs and Lunch; Peter McMillan, Esquire, The Tinkling Turn; Mr Gordon Meredith, the Affable Artiste; and the Occasional Special Guest!
Be prepared to clap, laugh, cry, cheer, swoon, gasp and sing along as heroes, heroines, villains and n’er-do-wells skip, run, creep, saunter, jig and laugh, propelling you into the spirit of Christmas.
If you can lay your hands on any Victorian garb, from bonnets to checked trousers, do wear them! Or come as you are. Only come!
