Al Morrison’s Blues Experience

The Blues Experience is a large band celebrating the music of the great Blues artists such as BB King, Robert Johnson, T Bone Walker, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton and many more.

Created for the 2008 Hull Jazz Festival who returned to play in 2011, they have headlined many Festivals and were nominated for a Jazz Yorkshire Award. For the University of Hull, the Band have been specially commissioned to produce compositions based on their collective experiences as a band playing together for 10 years.

Students will be invited to rehearse with the Band during the workshop and perform amongst the Band at the concert as well as performing some classic blues tunes.

11am – 1pm: Jazz workshop (observers welcome)

4.45pm: Doors open

5pm: Concert
