Beverley Minster has a Quiet Garden, a Secret Garden, and a garden in the planning stage. The Quiet Garden off Highgate is usually open for visitors, but the Secret Garden never is – even its location is a mystery. Take this wonderful opportunity!
For the first time these hidden gardens belonging to the Minster will both be opened to the public. The Secret Garden, will be open after undergoing some new developments. It is a haven for wildlife, and a very rare chance to enjoy its peace and tranquillity.
The award-winning Quiet Garden, behind the Parish Centre in Highgate, was developed to provide a place of meditation and prayer, providing hospitality for 21st century pilgrims.
Plans will also be on view in the Minster for the new sanctuary garden in the churchyard, which is to be planted as a wildflower meadow.
