As Part Of The Adelphi 40th Anniversary Celebrations
To celebrate the Adelphi’s 40th birthday, you and your family are invited to an extremely special afternoon show. Two of the greatest bands the city has ever seen. Both acts very different yet very similar.
Black Kes are a good time folk skiffle band with punk energy and cabaret tendencies. Known for their fantastic joyous, stage energy and catchy songs. The fun is truly infectious. Described as “Hull’s greatest live act” by their musician peers.
The Dyr Sister are a three piece string band consisting of viola, harp, bass guitar. Wonderfully crafted, lush folk fairy tales over a hip hop drum machine. Songs so beautiful and interesting, that they will haunt you for days after hearing them. Three of the most talented musicians in the country unite to make music that can only be described as spectacular.
The gig is a pay what you want gig. Bring the kids, bring your nan, bring your mum and dad and celebrate the magnificent Adelphi Club’s special birthday.
