Following its cancellation in 2020, on Thursday, 18 November, Queen Victoria Square will come alive with live entertainment from Hull City Hall balcony, full lighting displays and a stunning 50ft Norway Spruce.

Kicking off at 5pm, compere Father Christmas will introduce a number of local artists who will entertain crowds until 6.45pm when there will be the countdown and switch-on from the Lord Mayor of Hull, Councillor Lynn Petrini. A short fireworks display will accompany the switch-on (weather dependent).

Free mince pies are up for grabs to people attending this year’s event courtesy of local company BBF Limited.
