Young Hull boxer, Karen, idolises Hull boxing legend Barbara Butterick (‘The Mighty Atom’), who won a world boxing title in America in 1957.
Two stories intertwine in this fast moving, very physical one-woman show highlighting the fascinating story of a female boxer in the 1940’s/50’s juxtaposed with the contemporary issues faced by women in sport.
And after all, “Everyone needs a hero!”
