In June, 18 schools stepped through the portal of Malarkey Park, as East Park was transformed into a world of stories, books, poetry, comics, music, rhyme, song, dance and cats in hats.
Before opening its doors to the public, Hull’s first Children’s Literature Festival, hosted a week-long programme for schools. From meeting the new children’s laureate to creating their own comic books, children were given an exclusive glimpse into a storybook world.
