The University of Hull’s Ferens Fine Art lectures will this year concentrate on the Art of Photography and will be held in connection with the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2018 exhibition, which is currently on display in the gallery within the Brynmor Jones Library until June 2019.

Lee Karen Stow

Lee has devoted her documentary photographic practice to recording the personal narratives of women survivors of war, conflict and genocide, from the First and Second World Wars, the Holocaust, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Cambodia, Vietnam, Palestinian Occupied Territories, Israel and many more. Her aim is to research, record and share the hidden or untold stories of women in the aftermath of war.
