We are the best at armouring ourselves up to ensure our safety. Its like putting a plaster on an open wound, but eventually that plaster has to come off.
Likewise, we have all put on a plasters, bandages and armours when our heart has been wounded so deeply – but we can not guard this forever, and if you do instead of healing it will fester and become infected with bitterness and resentment.
Open hearts, as vulnerable as it may feel, are exposed to beauty, to possibility and to love.
