Suzie Reffold is an experienced potter who specialises in hand-building techniques, throwing on the wheel, and decorative
During this session, you will learn to create honey pots using the coil building technique. This method has been used to shape clay into pots for many thousands of years, and is the best technique for both small and large pots, as well as sculptures.
Using the coiling technique, it is possible to build thicker or taller walled pots, which may not have been possible using earlier methods, permitting more control whilst allowing you to build on top of the walls to make the pots look bigger with less danger of collapsing.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, and costs £25 per person.
