In 1980s New Mexico, Lou ekes out a tough existence managing the local gym and trying to keep out of her father’s criminal enterprises. Her life is upended when Jackie turns up in town, running away from home in pursuit of her dream of winning a big bodybuilding contest in Vegas. The spark between them is instant, but passionate, whirlwind romance ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family and an illicit world of gun running and drugs.
