Hull Theatres welcomes back the incredible Kingston Swing to Hull City Hall for a weekend of breathtaking dance as Hullzapoppin returns to the city from 18-20 May.
From Lindy Hop and Jazz to Shag dance workshops, there’s something for all abilities in this exciting, high-energy celebration that also features three social dances, guest DJs and the return of the ever popular Gordon Webster Band.
Saturday night’s glamorous evening do, featuring two of the best live swing dance acts in the world; Pete Long’s ‘Echoes Of Ellington’ (16 piece London Big Band) and the Gordon Webster Octet, plus the best DJs in the country and beyond and our teachers cabaret performances.
Kingston Swing Presents the Grand Swing Ball, which sees the return of Pete Long with his 14 piece Big Band faithfully recreating some of the most classic moments in swing music history.
Also on the lineup are Gordon Webster, arguably the most in-demand Lindy Hop dance band in the world, alongside the best in swing music DJs, plus live performance and competitions.
The Hull City Hall holds numerous and varied events ranging from the Classics Orchestral Concert series to pop concerts, comedy, conferences, exhibitions and degree ceremonies.
