PAVEY ARK
Pavey Ark are a cinematic indie-folk band from Hull. Atmospheric vocals, strings and horns glide over finger-picked guitar, melodic bass and complex percussion. The result is a beautiful orchestral folk sound that evades immediate comparison.
Upon further listening, the band’s wide range of influences start to reveal themselves. From the laid-back 60s & 70s folk of Jackson C. Frank and Rodriguez, through to Nick Drake and Radiohead. The band have become known for their sublime live shows, playing stages at Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Moseley Folk Festival and many more.
UNCUT Magazine – “A striking debut”
Folk Radio – “Pavey Ark set themselves up as a simple folk band then pull the rug out from under your feet. It’s the perfect antidote to these uncertain days. A call to arms from a band that demands to be heard”.
JACKSON D
Yorkshire solo artist, unique vocalist and guitarist, with flavours of Bowie, Scott Walker, Bryan Ferry, and Jarvis Cocker.
THE ARKUT BROTHERS
Country duo, singer/songwriters and guitarists from Anlaby, gaining a strong following due to their beautifully crafted songs and dynamic playing styles, combining tapping, harmonics and playing percussion in unique ways.
RUSHBONDS (ACOUSTIC)
Leeds-based female-fronted experimental indie band. Consisting of Robyn McLeod (Vocals), Isaac Llewellyn (Guitar), Rory Maslen (Bass) and Teruki Chan (Drums), the band have incorporated their vast styles and influences into one cohesive sound. Combining influences from Hiatus Kaiyote, Plastic Mermaids and Viagra Boys, their sound is one that is hard to pinpoint and define.
Rushbonds are making waves around the Leeds circuit, bringing an eccentric stage performance to venues like Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House, Hyde Park Book Club and Project House, creating an organic buzz for themselves. Rapid growth has taken them to new heights, supporting Trudy and the Romance in Leeds as part of the ‘Smashed Up My Fender’ EP Tour and VC Pines in Newcastle as part of the ‘MRI’ tour. They’ve started the festival season on a high, playing at Liverpool Sound City.
