This Cognitive Drawing workshop replicates the exact same intervention model which has been used with prisoners at the Graft Studio inside HMP Humber. The innovative approach seeks to shock-start individuals into new ways of looking and drawing.
The session will be run by artist and ex Head of Art at HMP Humber’s Graft Studio Graeme Brooks, and aims to re-connect fluent drawing dexterity with the imagination, which often wains during childhood in most non artists. It will induce alterations to perception, and will expand, enrich and embellish new ways of looking, seeing and thinking.
Free workshop, booking essential due to limited spaces.
