Classical crossover band Il Divo are set to perform in Hull in 2020.
The male quartet – created by Simon Cowell – will perform at the Bonus Arena on 17 December 2020.
Tickets go on general sale for this all-seated event on Wednesday at 10am.
The original and the best classical cross over group of all time Il Divo return to the UK in December 2020 for the Christmas With Il Divo tour which will see them perform all their greatest hits and festive classics live.
First discovered and mentored by Simon Cowell in 2003, the group composed by the Spanish Carlos Marin (baritone), the Swiss Urs Buhler (tenor), the Frenchman Sebastien Izambard (tenor) and the American David Miller (tenor), became a pioneer of a musical genre unknown until that time when in 2004 they released their debut album “IL Divo”.
Since then, the international four-member group has become the world leader in its genre, and has achieved a second to none success around the world, performing before personalities like former US presidents George Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama , as well as the Queen of England.
With hits like “Regresa a Mi” (Unbreak My Heart), “The Time Of Our Lives” (“The Official Song of the 2006 FIFA World Cup),” and “I Believe In You” (Je crois en toi) a duet with Celine Dion, the band have sold over 30 million records, have 50 No.1s and 160 gold and platinum records in more than 33 countries.
They have also sold out six world tours performing at some of the most prestigious venues in the world.
Next Christmas, Il Divo will be performing festive classics as well as their much-loved greatest hits creating the ultimate fan experience.

Bonus Arena is a state-of-the-art, music and events complex with a capacity of up to 3,500 people that will allow Hull to attract large corporate conferences, exhibitions and trade tours as well as major touring concerts, stand-up comedy, family shows and sporting events. The plans include the building of the new arena, alongside the rebuilding of Osborne Street car park and additional public spaces in a currently derelict area on Myton Street behind Princes Quay shopping centre. The arena is scheduled to open during the summer of 2018. The building is owned by Hull City Council and will be managed by SMG Europe, a world leader in venue management, operation and marketing with more than 220 venues worldwide, including Manchester Arena, Metro Radio Arena Newcastle, First Direct Arena Leeds, The Baths Hall and The Plowright Theatre Scunthorpe.
