Land of Promise is a words & music presentation featuring guest readers and musicians. It journeys through three and a half centuries of radical thought, writing & song about the connections between art, social justice and our living environment.
Using songs, readings, film & images the show tells a story of the fund of radical ideas and the political will that is the legacy of the Utopian movement. In doing so, it poses questions about the apparent lack of political will for change in our own times and offers a perspective on how that collective will has been suppressed – and how it may be rekindled.
Refreshments are available to purchase at the market.
