Join us to celebrate the release of ‘Episode One’ our brand spanking new EP. We’re honoured to be one of the first bands to play at Social on Humber Street (formerly Fruit) Joining us is the fantastic Alice Clayton, the amazing Bobby Joyce and Marie Rikard plus the world famous Original Brew deejays taking the party through til 1am.
Late Night Marauders are led by whirlwind soulstress Ruthie Scott and the piano wizardry of James Wood. Raised on a steady diet of classic RnB and jazz standards Ruthie developed a deep love for Ray Charles, Dr John, Nina Simone, Etta James and Tom Waits to name a few. Hooking up with James their songs evoke visions of smoky basement clubs in the 1950’s where beatniks and jazzheads would party. Add in a savvy rhythm section and a firing horn section and the Late Night Marauders present a unique blend of soul, R’n’B and boogie which is an irrepressible delight.
