OpenCampus Reading Group: The Moomins & The Great Flood (1945), Tove Jansson

UNIVERSITY OF HULL, Cottingham Road, Hull, HU6 74X

23 Jun 2018

Family Friendly

Where would children’s books be without illustrations? In the final session of the series, creative writing PhD student Catherine Sadler will talk us through the first and only picture book on the reading list – the first book in the popular ‘Moomins’ series.

Catherine promises to talk through the fascinating background to these seemingly innocent childhood stories, and perhaps even a little about Tove Jansson herself.

As one of the oldest books featured, this promises to be a satisfying finale to the series.
