The plans include the building of the new arena, alongside the rebuilding of Osborne Street car park and additional public spaces in a currently derelict area on Myton Street behind Princes Quay shopping centre. The arena is scheduled to open during the summer of 2018. The building is owned by Hull City Council and will be managed by SMG Europe, a world leader in venue management, operation and marketing with more than 220 venues worldwide, including Manchester Arena, Metro Radio Arena Newcastle, First Direct Arena Leeds, The Baths Hall and The Plowright Theatre Scunthorpe.
