Agatha Christie was one of the most prolific thriller writers of all time.
In 1926 she became the centre one of an extensive police hunt—her own real-life mystery. Her crashed car was discovered in Surrey and Mrs Christie was missing – presumed dead –
for eleven days. Although eventually found at a luxury hotel in Harrogate, she claimed then and for the rest of her life that she remembered nothing. Neither the press nor the police believed her.
Liz Grand (The Second Best Bed; senior actress with the Worcester Repertory Company) presents her new one-woman show, Where is Mrs Christie? Did Agatha Christie lie? Why? Did she suffer from amnesia? Was it a publicity stunt? Or, was there a dark secret that she took to her grave?
