This is a free public talk by Dr Simon Desbrulais as part of the ‘Creative Conversations’ series at the University of Hull.

Following his appointment at the Berlin Musikhochschule in 1927, composer, conductor and performer Paul Hindemith began writing a textbook on music theory, both as a tool for teaching composition and to help refine his own musical style.
