Hull City Council in partnership with the Humber Forest and Trees for Cities invite you to attend a family festival at Pickering Park as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. Events are centred around planting trees and wildflowers for the Queen’s Jubilee. Alongside the planting action there will be activities for the whole family to enjoy throughout the day including:
Tree and wildflower planting with TCV, PATT Foundation, and Trees for Cities
Bush Craft, Fire lighting and Wild Child activities with Rewilding Youth,
Scrap Store Festive Family Craft Activities
Natural Christmas Crafting
Tree Climbing Demonstrations
Wildlife Walks
Music
Free, drop-in between 10am and 2pm (all activities are free except food and drink)
Venue Details
Pickering Park is home to an aviary with worldwide varieties of birds, a fishing lake, playgrounds, ornamental gardens and a summer paddling pool. Founded by Christopher Pickering in 1911, it often plays host to a variety of community events.
