Ron Dearing UTC Arts & Crafts Christmas Market – A Celebration of Creativity and Craftsmanship… and Santa!

We’re thrilled to invite you to the Annual Arts and Crafts Christmas Market at Ron Dearing UTC, happening on Saturday 29th November from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This festive event is a vibrant showcase of artistic talent, bringing together a diverse mix of professional artists, designers, and makers.

This year’s market promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a wide variety of highly skilled professionals offering their handcrafted creations. These are individuals who have built successful creative businesses and are passionate about their craft. Adding a unique touch to this year’s market, several Ron Dearing UTC Creative students will be selling their handcrafts, having secured financial bursaries to fund their work.

This is the perfect opportunity to shop for truly unique Christmas gifts — thoughtful, handmade pieces that carry the story of the artist behind them. You’ll find beautiful ceramics, bespoke jewellery, fine art prints, illustrations, photography, and seasonal decorations — each piece made with care, originality, and artistic flair. Whether you’re looking for something elegant, quirky, rustic or refined, there’s something to suit every taste and budget. And with cash and card payments accepted, you can browse and buy with ease.

As well as our artist and crafts people, we are delighted that Santa will be joining us for the day in the RDUTC Santa’s Grotto. He is really looking forward to meeting our younger visitors, hearing what’s on their Christmas lists and giving away early Christmas presents.

Alongside the shopping, visitors can enjoy a selection of hot drinks and festive snacks, available throughout the day. Whether you’re warming up with a festive hot chocolate or grabbing a bite while browsing, it’s the perfect way to soak up the seasonal atmosphere and make a day of it.

Entry to the market is completely free, and there’s plenty of on-street parking available, as well as access to the History Centre car park nearby.
