This Choral Workshop will be led by The Sixteen’s associate conductor and bass Eamonn Dougan, alongside singer and practical scholar Sally Dunkley.
Local singing enthusiasts are treated to a session of vocal coaching including advice on breathing technique, invigorating warm-ups, voice production and insights into the historical context of choral pilgrimage music.
Hull's Albemarle Music Centre accommodates a performance area which seats 250 people as well as rehearsal and teaching rooms for 15 Hull musical ensembles ranging from youth orchestras and brass bands to jazz groups and choirs. Built for the city by the developers of the St Stephen's scheme, it replaces the original Albemarle Music Centre which was demolished to make way for the £200m shopping, hotel and leisure complex. The new Albermarle Music Centre opened in October 2007, providing an exciting new addition to the city that has been welcomed by more than 600 young Hull musicians as a hub of musical activity and education.
