Cristina Talens, Director of Modern Slavery Risk Assessments at Hull University’s Wilberforce Institute, will provide guidance on the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act, including how to identify signs of modern slavery and trafficking, improve your business response and find out what support is available.

The Modern Slavery Act requires any organisation with a turnover of over £36 million to develop a slavery and human trafficking statement each year. The statement should set out what steps the organisation has taken to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in its business or supply chain.

At our free seminar on 26th March – the anniversary of the Modern Slavery Act – Cristina Talens, Director of Modern Slavery Risk Assessments at Hull University’s Wilberforce Institute, will provide guidance on the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act, including how to identify signs of modern slavery and trafficking, improve your business response and find out what support is available. Cristina works with businesses to spot modern slavery in their supply chains, both in the UK and overseas. Her clients include the John Lewis Partnership, voelstalpine UK and Yorkshire Water.
