This inspiring new work created with communities in Hull. Presented in partnership with Hull Music Service and Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
Songs of Flight – features Hull Freedom Chorus with Hannah Peel, Open Doors with Gary Hammond, Big Elastic Band with Sam Pirt, pupils from Adelaide Primary School with Tom Lawrence, Turkish musicians with Mambo Jambo and students from Wyke College with Ben Newton, all supported by the hugely talented City of Hull Youth Orchestra.
Also on the programme: William Walton’s ‘Spitfire Prelude and Fugue’ and Ron Goodwin’s theme for the film ‘Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying machines’.
