Sound Art of the Railways

UNIVERSITY OF HULL, Cottingham Road, Hull, HU6 74X

23 Mar - 15 Apr 2018

Family Friendly

A headphone installation within telephone kiosks across the University of Hull campus.

As a reflection of Terence Cuneo’s visual representation of power is currently on display within Brynmor Jones Library, these musical works are based upon the sounds of the modern and not-so-modern rail transport networks of the UK.

The music pieces are based upon binaurally-recorded soundscapes, the locomotives of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; and the wider railway and underground network.
