The Curtain Raiser is always a popular night with people just having a great time in a relaxed Café Bar atmosphere.
With 4 acts to get the party atmosphere going we welcome back 2 of our festival favourites , Neil King and Richard Avery, the main stays of “Other Lives” theatre company, and regular cast members at the theatre. For our Curtain Raiser they will be presenting a variety of pieces to delight our audience.
Richard Avery and Neil King, are the main stays of “Other Lives” Theatre Company, based in Beverley, and are also regular cast members at the theatre. They regularly tour their productions around the country, bringing in other actors including the festivals own Gordon Meredith.
Richard is a former Royal Shakespeare Company, Bristol Old Vic and West End actor. He write and directs plays as well as appearing in them. Neil has also directed shows as well as perming in them . A multi-talented duo!
