The Horizon Stage presents some of the great emerging young musical talent from the region and beyond.

YOUTHLINCS are a group of young people who love playing and dancing traditional music. They range in age from 8 to 19 years old and are the youth part of the Folklincs organisation who offer traditional music and dance workshops at the Ropewalk in Barton Upon Humber. They do all their own arrangements with the help of their musical director Carol Dawson and their dance choreographers Wendy Bolton and Lynette Eldon.

For more information please see the Folklincs website www.folklincs.com

MAIUS MOLLIS is a singer-songwriter who doesn’t shy away from exploring emotional complexities.  Collaborating with double Brit Award winning, Mercury Prize nominated producer Thom Lewis (Sam Fender), her 2024 EP will continue to explore complex themes.

Lyrically, brutal self-reflection, reverberating family dynamics, and relationships that end with no concrete answers drift through her songs. All this and more is translated via gutting vocal melodies, sculpted atop Maius Mollis’s distinctive finger-picked guitar style.

She has already received an impressive response from well-respected platforms such as BBC Introducing, Echoes and Dust, and Come Play with Me, FFO Ben Howard, Daughter, Laura Marling and Holly Humberstone.
