We are delighted to welcome the Swedish Philharmonia and its Principal Conductor Jaime Martín to Hull City Hall. The programme opens with Swedish composer Bo Lindes’ bright and positive A Merry Overture. Violinist Nemanja Radulović brings a thrilling energy to all his performances and Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto is the perfect showpiece for his superb skills.

Written at the turn of the century, Sibelius’ Second Symphony evokes expansive glacial landscapes of his native Finland, culminating in a flourish of exhilarating heroism.
