The Big Roar

FERENS STUDIO, Ferens Art Gallery, Queen Victoria Square, Hull, HU1 3RA

23 - 25 Oct 2021

FREE

Family Friendly

Work with artist Dom Heffer to help us to create a Jungle Gallery, in a series of free, bookable, family drawing activities.

For this year’s big draw, we celebrate some of your ‘Ferens Favourites’, including Rosa Bonheur’s ‘The Lions at home’ – the lions watched whilst different techniques were used to create roaring drawings that add to the giant Jungle scene which sprawls across the gallery wall (created by Hull Based street art collective Spray Creative).

Your dazzling drawings will then stay on show for all to see as part of the Ferens Favourites exhibition that opens on Friday 6 November.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of two adults per child. Adults accompanying children must book a ticket.

***Important Information***

Please note the development of the wall drawing as it develops during the workshops will be captured by a time-lapse film. By attending the workshop you consent to your family being included in the film. The completed film will be shown as part of the Ferens Favourites exhibition at Ferens Art Gallery between 6/11/21 – 16/1/22. It may also be used for promotional purposes in the media, and online.
