Leather’o play tunes and songs from the exciting New Celtic Tradition – they’re festival favourites and are known for their great energy on stage! The standard of their musicianship sets Leather’o apart and they bring a wide range of influences to their playing from folk-rock to classical, jazz to gypsy. The six band members create a rich mix of textures. Based in York, the band has built up their craft through hundreds of performances over the last seven years from their regular pub gigs to festivals and radio appearances. The band’s CD Six was released in 2018 and has been played widely on specialist folk radio shows, including BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio York, Beverley FM and many more.
