To celebrate the launch of their new book ‘The Mick Ronson Story: Turn and Face the Strange’, Hull writers Rupert Creed and Garry Burnett present an evening of stories, film clips and musical insights into the life and career of one of the city’s finest musicians.
How did this estate kid from Greatfield become such an international superstar? How did a group of Hull musicians come to play such a key role in the history of popular music?
With contributions from guitarist Ched Cheesman and guests from the hit stage show, this intimate but compelling multi-media presentation reveals previously untold stories of Mick Ronson and his phenomenal career as a musician and album producer.
Followed for attendees at Wrecking Ball, a book-signing and after show party with a Ronson/Bowie playlist.
