Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist Tom Kay returns to his solo work with his new album ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ due for release in April 2019. Tom has teamed up with PledgeMusic, an online crowd-funding platform, enabling artists to reach out to their fan-base to be able to pre-sell items to fund a project and ultimately enable the artist to be able to progress with their careers. Speaking of the new release Tom said “I’m very excited about the project, I haven’t released a solo album for quite a while now and I’ve got all these songs swimming around in my head and hopefully with the help of my fans I’ll be able to record and release them. To make a record, it takes a lot of time, planning and the dreaded ‘m word’, Money and for self funded artists like myself that can make things quite difficult so PledgeMusic seemed like a saving grace.”
Tom is set to return to his more acoustic roots while maintaining the atmospheric, ambient sound that has graced his last few releases, 2017’s ‘Wither & Bloom’ and 2016’s ‘From The Outside In’, which reached #32 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Both albums were supported by a run of shows across the UK with dates with Grammy Award winning songwriter Gill Landry of Old Crow Medicine Show, Scott Matthews as well as an invitation to perform at critically acclaimed American singer/songwriter John Grant’s North Atlantic Flu
