The Institute of Applied Ethics is excited to host a session with Matt Baldwin, head of the Humberside Police Professional Standards Department.

Matt will be outlining the expectations of the College of Policing’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Behaviour, as well as explaining his aspiration to change the view of the Professional Standards Department in Humberside through education and engagement rather than blame and punishment. Matt will also examine the challenges of achieving this aim whilst meeting the expectations of the public. The session is a continuation of the collaborative work underway between the IAE and Humberside Police.

This event promises to be a fascinating insight into the world of police ethics, and will include a Question and Answer period and refreshments after the talk. For more information or to book a place, please email iae@hull.ac.uk.

Free admission – all welcome
