BUTOH WORKSHOP AND SAKURAKO
Sakurako, Director or Okarukas Dance Theatre, studied Butoh intensively with various masters in Japan. This workshop will explore the main elements of Butoh and is suitable for anyone interested in exploring Butoh, including actors, dancers and live/performance artists.
The 3.5 hour workshop enables participants to immerse themselves in the experience through exercises and tasks that all make up the main elements of Butoh, such as metamorphoses, dance through imagery, presence, alignment, awareness and the tension between opposites.
